A top down view of the athletes as they prepare for their very first run. First up is Jorge ‘Sarge’ Romero (Mexico) and although he started well, he eventually undershot an underbar to precision from 16ft up and bailed heavily. This resulted in a delay while he was tended to by our paramedics. Eventually he was taken to hospital for a routine check-up and was given the all clear. This served as a reminder to all the other athletes that while we were there to have fun and enjoy the experience, the obstacles should not be taken lightly. In a good way, it set the tone for the rest of the evening and although we saw some amazing skills on display, the first injury suffered, was the only one outside of a couple of minor muscle strains.
